12/29 & 12/30/10 - UNCW is working on a Slam Dunk promotion for Comfort Socks– How? Bring a socks donation for a reduced price ticket to a UNCW basketball game. Now that is a great team effort! The games and promotions are as follows:Wednesday, December 29 Women’s basketball vs Ohio 7:00pm – $3 Adult ticket with a sock donation.Thursday, December 30 Men’s basketball vs Toledo 7:00pm - $9 adult ticket with a sock donation.
12/1 - 12/7/10 - Southport Elementary will have a special 'toss socks for the homeless in a basket' setup during their annual "We Love OUr Parents in PE" event - please stop by and bring socks to toss in the basket to benefit the Comfort Socks mission.
10/1/10 - 12/15/10 - Welcome Kenan Loop Road Community 4H Club - our newest volunteers collecting socks. To help support their 10/1 - 12/15/10 sock drive, bring socks to the 4H location at 804 Kenan Loop Rd, Wallace, NC. Socks may also be dropped off at St. John Missionary Baptist Church located in Wallace, NC - Please call Ella Murphy at 910-441-8595 with drop off questions.
10/25-29/2010 - Supply Elementary School is hosting a sock drive. Why not stop by with new mens crew or tube socks and help give the comfort of new socks for someone who is homeless. 2/2/2010 - Thank you, Elks Lodge 2679 bingo players Calabash, NC - for your donation of 149 pairs of socks. Photo was featured in today's Sun Times - This is the second time the Elks Lodge bingo players collected socks for us - We hope to hear from Bob, Andy and Vito again soon.
1/31/2010 - The General Federation of Women's Clubs of the South Brunswick Islands (GFWC-SBI) recently donated 161 pairs of socks to the Comfort Socks Organization. Comfort Socks is a public charity that collects new socks then distributes them to non-profit organizations that serve the homeless. Special Thanks to GFWC-SBI President Cindy Hewett, and GFWC-SBI Members Lynn Yencik, Lynn Watkins and Eileen Brown.

8/3/09-8/5/09 - Vacation Bible School at New Life Christian Fellowship worked hard to support Comfort Socks this week. Inspired by the Lord, the children made beautiful cards for homeless families and collected funds to help Comfort Socks keep going. These efforts were a true blessing indeed.
